You think you know....

Coming back to Manila I was surprised how expensive movies are. I remember those times in university when I would watch all the movies being shown for the week. Christopher Nolan, the cunning director who gave us "Memento" (where Guy Pearce pieces together his life using a Polaroid and leaving missives for himself), is back. In "The Prestige", Christian Bale (who is a dream) is an illusionist who has a deadly rivalry with Hugh Jackman. You think you know... but you don't. A few weeks ago I have been "dazed and confused", walking all over Manila like a zombie. My Ipod named Stella saved myself from too much daydreaming and from asking questions I don't have answers to. The compulsion to know what another person is thinking, borders on dementia. The heat is getting to me today and I feel particularly weird. I guess the point of this entry really is to highlight that there are many things in life we think we understand but we don't. Life is best lived backwards, unfortunately unlike "Memento" we do not have such luxury. What we can do instead is to always look forward because someday, no matter how long it will take, it will all make sense. Maybe not after two hours, like in the movies. Maybe next month, next year or the following year, or in the next five years. Aaaggghhh... I hate the way I sound so I'll end it here.
