jishin, jishin!!!

Another strong earthquake hit Niigata prefecture tripping over barrels of nuclear waste that may have caused radioactive leaks, investigation is ongoing.

I was in homestay in Nagaoka when I experienced 6.9 earthquake that seemed to have lasted a lifetime. We were in the kitchen, having small talk while my okaasan prepare dinner. Then the world started shaking and grumbling. They wanted me to go under the teeny tiny Japanese table! I started laughing coz I thought there is no way I would fit. Then I saw their television fall in front of me and somehow I did fit. There was no electricity, water and gas for days. It took 9 hours to go back to IUJ because the highway was closed due to some cracks in the roads. The entire school slept at the gym for three days! That was the most fun I had in IUJ I guess.
