Love hurts in a good way

An attempt to clarify my thoughts...

We exist because of love. Well, at least I would like to believe that I was conceived as an expression of two peoples' love for each other. Of course, I am not naive to exempt the truth that sometimes people get conceived because of too much beer or due to a moment of grappling with desolation, an effort to seek approval or to gratify basic human instinct. Whatever works for you...

Love hurts in a good way. To truly love someone means that there's a certain heaviness in your heart that you carry around. It hurts in a good way because it validates your existence.

Perhaps I should reflect more on this to make it clearer, or perhaps Woody Allen can help....

To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering, one must not love. But, then one suffers from not loving. Therefore, to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer, to suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love, to be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy, therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness — I hope you're getting this down - Woody Allen
