punting at oxford

While the rest of the world calls it boating, it is punting in this rainy side of the world. A long and heavy metal stick (in the Philippines we use bamboo) is used to steer the boat. What started as a fun day turned out to be disastrous. Our main punter fell down, with his camera and his dignity. At least he get to have new clothes. We did not let this ruin our day and went out again, this time three determined girls paddling our way down the river. We ate lunch on the boat and just had a great day! Oxford is lovely and old. We got to see Christ Church, where Harry Potter and his friends played quittage. Lunch was a nice surprise at the Turf, where Bill Clinton once smoked illegal substance. This mysterious place is hidden, you have to go through this tiny pass called St. Helen's passage (daw sa Simon Ledesma).
