The busiest day for motels in the Philippines is not during Valentines day but days before it. Valentines day is spent with the family and the legal wife. Days before valentines day or days immediately after are for that stolen moment of passion in one seedy motel room with the number 2 or 3, kabit (tagalog word for a lover which also means attachment). The Philippines and Malta are the only countries left without divorce law. The motels are going to be crammed today so that one famous motel created a hand signal scheme: sign two fingers for a standard room, three fingers for a de-luxe room and four for a mini-suite. Hurry people, get on it, other customers are waiting in line for a short time of love.
